A funny birthday dance video starring the birthday person
The best birthday dance video is one where the birthday person is the dancer. Upload their photo to a dance template on ReelMe, such as the Carlton or the Gangnam Style elevator, pay $3.99, and about a minute later you have a clip of them doing the famous dance, ready to send on the day.
How to do it in 4 steps
- Pick a template, for example The Carlton Dance.
- Upload one clear photo (one per person or pet in multi-person templates).
- Pay $3.99 once. No app, no sign-up, no subscription.
- Download your video in about a minute and post it anywhere.

It works because it is personal and a little embarrassing in the right way. A generic "happy birthday dance" GIF gets a heart emoji. A video of your coworker doing the Carlton in a sweater vest, or your brother as Buddy the Elf on a mailroom table, gets replayed in the group chat all day. Ask them first, or at least be sure they will laugh, and use a photo you know they like.
How to choose. The Carlton is the classic birthday-GIF energy: arms swinging, hips going, "It's Not Unusual". Gangnam Style Elevator is for chaos, the parking-garage dance-off and the elevator doors opening on the most unhinged moment in K-pop. Bby Wow suits anyone who loves a dramatic entrance. Gang Gang is for the friend with a dry sense of humour. Elf Mailroom Dance is ideal for December birthdays or office parties.
For animal lovers, put their pet in instead: Happy Happy Happy Cat for the cat person, Brazilian Dancing Dog for the dog person. A pet doing a birthday dance is hard to resist, and nobody's face is involved.
One practical note: the templates do not add "Happy Birthday" text or their name to the video. Add your caption when you post it, or write it in the message when you send the link. For the photo, pick a front-facing picture with their face clearly visible and, ideally, their shoulders; a shot from their own profile is usually perfect.
