"Babydoll" is a 2026 single by the Welsh singer Jamie Miller. The dance took off on TikTok in the autumn, Miller kept spreading it by dancing it with other celebrities, and the song went to number one on the UK Official Singles Chart, making him the first Welsh artist in 15 years to get a UK number one. The clip our template is based on is by @lanaxmette: two girls in a hallway, perfectly in time.

How to do it: the base is a light two-step. Step right and bring the left foot in, step left and bring the right foot in, with a little bounce in the knees on every beat. Let the arms swing loosely with the step; versions vary a little from creator to creator, so copy the one you like. Keep it relaxed and smiley; it's meant to look effortless and a bit retro. Practise with the audio slowed down until the bounce lands on the beat.

"Who started the Babydoll dance trend?" doesn't have a single clear answer: there isn't a clearly documented first video, but Miller himself did a lot to spread it by dancing it with guests. If you just want a polished clip to post, the duo template skips the practice and keeps the two of you in sync from the first beat.

Photos: use a front-facing shot of each person with the face clear and some of the upper body visible. Similar lighting in both photos makes the pair look more natural. You can also fill both slots with yourself for a twin version.
